1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the VETT Work platform, including the website at getvett.org, all associated applications, APIs, and services (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account, submitting a verification request, or accessing the Platform in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
VETT Work is operated by its founder as an unregistered sole trader pending formal entity registration. References to "VETT Work," "we," "us," or "our" refer to the operator of this Platform. These Terms will be updated to reflect the registered legal entity upon formation.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years of age to use VETT Work. By accessing the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this minimum age requirement.
If you are using the Platform on behalf of a business, agency, or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms. In that case, "you" refers to both you individually and the entity you represent.
3. Account Registration and Security
To access most features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at contact@getvett.org if you suspect unauthorized access.
VETT Work reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false registration information, violate these Terms, or are inactive for an extended period.
4. Description of Services
VETT Work provides a dual-consent project verification platform enabling:
- Service providers to submit details of completed or ongoing projects, including deliverables, timelines, metrics, and claimed outcomes
- Clients to receive verification requests and confirm, dispute, or flag the accuracy of a provider's claims
- Issuance of a Verified Proof Badge when both parties confirm the record with no unresolved flags
- Permanent, publicly accessible verified records that cannot be altered after issuance
VETT Work is a platform operator, not a party to any underlying project, service agreement, or commercial relationship between Providers and Clients.
5. Provider Obligations
As a Provider, you agree that all information you submit is accurate and truthful, that you have the right to submit the project details including reference to the client, that you will not submit requests to individuals without a legitimate prior working relationship, and that any claimed results are based on genuine outcomes and not fabricated or materially exaggerated.
Providers who submit fraudulent verification requests may have their accounts terminated and their actions may be reported to relevant authorities.
6. Client Obligations
As a Client, you agree to respond honestly to all verification questions, to only verify records from your legitimate company email address, and not to submit responses on behalf of another person without their explicit authorization.
Clients who deliberately submit false verification responses may be liable under applicable laws regarding fraud and misrepresentation.
7. Verified Records and Immutability
Once a project verification is completed with no unresolved flags, the record becomes immutable. Neither party can edit, alter, or append to the verified record. VETT Work may attach an administrative annotation in exceptional circumstances but will not alter the underlying verified content.
A VETT Work Verified Record is a confirmation that two parties agreed on the described outcomes at a point in time. It is not a legal certification, audit, or guarantee of quality.
8. Record Deletion
Either party may request deletion of a verified record by contacting contact@getvett.org with the record identifier and reason. VETT Work will review requests within 14 business days. Deletion will generally be granted where both parties request it jointly, where the record contains demonstrably false information submitted in bad faith, or where required by law.
9. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Platform. By submitting, you grant VETT Work a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, non-exclusive licence to store, display, process, and use that content to operate and improve the Platform.
VETT Work owns all rights to the Platform itself, including software, design, trademarks, and infrastructure. VETT Work may use anonymised, aggregated, non-identifiable data for product improvement and publication of industry statistics. Individual records will not be identifiable in any published data.
10. Subscription and Payment
Paid features are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. VETT Work does not directly handle or store payment card information.
All subscription fees are non-refundable. There are no refunds for partial subscription periods, unused features, or account suspension resulting from a violation of these Terms. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
11. Free Tier Limitations
Free tier accounts are limited to three verified projects. VETT Work reserves the right to modify free tier limitations at any time with 30 days notice to existing free tier users.
12. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, attempt to circumvent the verification process using fake client email addresses, use automated tools without authorization, reverse engineer the Platform, resell access without written consent, submit defamatory or harassing content, or impersonate any person or entity.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. VETT Work does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor does it warrant the accuracy or reliability of any user-submitted content, including verified records.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VETT Work shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. VETT Work's total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of subscription fees paid in the preceding 12 months or one hundred US dollars ($100).
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. For users located in the European Union, nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable EU consumer protection law. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association rules.
16. Modifications and Termination
VETT Work may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Platform at any time. We will provide at least 30 days notice of changes materially affecting paid subscribers. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Verified records may remain publicly accessible unless you request deletion under Section 8.
17. Contact
For questions about these Terms, contact us at contact@getvett.org or through the contact page at getvett.org/contact.

18. Profile and Project Visibility
Providers may set their profile visibility to Public, Unlisted, or Private at any time from account settings. Providers may also set individual project visibility independently from their profile. VETT Work is not responsible for consequences to a Provider's reputation resulting from their own visibility choices.
Clients who have submitted a verification response acknowledge that the visibility of the resulting verified record is controlled by the Provider. If a Provider sets their profile or project to private after verification, the record will no longer be publicly accessible. The Client's own data remains in the VETT Work database and is available on a data subject access request regardless of the Provider's visibility setting.
19. Advertising and Tracking
VETT Work uses advertising pixels from Google, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, and LinkedIn to measure advertising campaign performance and reach relevant audiences. These pixels are only activated if you have explicitly consented to advertising cookies by selecting 'Accept all' on the cookie banner.
By consenting, you agree that anonymised or hashed behavioural data and conversion events may be shared with these platforms, each of which processes this data under their own terms and privacy policies. You may withdraw advertising consent at any time via the cookie preference centre.
Advertising pixels are never activated on the client verification page at /verify/{token}, as that page is accessed by third parties who have not agreed to these Terms.
20. Team Members
Agency tier users may invite team members to their VETT Work account. Each team member must independently agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy on their first login. The account holder cannot consent on behalf of a team member. Account holders are responsible for ensuring team members use the Platform in accordance with these Terms.
21. Updates to These Terms
When VETT Work makes material changes to these Terms, existing users will be notified by email and shown an in-platform notice. Users will be required to re-agree before continuing to use the Platform. If you decline the updated Terms, your account access will be suspended and you will have 30 days to export your data before deletion is initiated.
